Additional Information From the Colton Storm catalogue: "The preface is dated Cheyenne, Wyoming, February 20, 1894. The work was probably published at Cheyenne in that year. An exposé which nearly cost the author his life and one of the few copies that have escaped destruction by interested people. In the book is an original photograph of participants in the Johnson County war taken at Fort D. A. Russell in front of Warehouse 54. Accompanying the photograph is a typed list identifying all of the individuals except one."
