Additional Information Full title: "Insult to the governor! In publishing the following proceedings the officers and men belonging to the detachment of volunteers now at Nauvoo, it is due to the respectable portion of the anti-Mormon party to say, that it is believed, they had nothing to do in the matter. The insult to Gov. Ford here exposed, was no doubt got up by as vile a set of vagabonds as ever disgraced any country". The meeting was held on November 7, 1846. Resolutions were adopted in defense of Governor Ford and strong language was thrown at the Mormons.
