Additional Information From the Colton Storm catalogue: "The first two pages of most numbers are printed in the Santee Dakota language and the last two pages in English. The leaflets were printed at the Office of the Minnesota Democrat.No. VIII contains the following note: "The Dakota Mission deem it unadvisable, while the Indians are so unsettled, to continue the Friend". Pond misdates the last issue as August 1851."
