Additional Information From the Colton Storm catalogue: "The Abingdon Association was the first attempt to establish a form of local government in the area of present day Waukegan, Illinois. Abingdon was located about five miles west and slightly south of Waukegan and about three miles north of Libertyville on the Des Plaines River."
